INTERNATIONAL STUDENT SCHOLARSHIP CONTEST!

In order to collaborate with the dissemination of the research carried out by students and to strengthen their professional development, we invite students who are pursuing undergraduate or postgraduate studies in national or foreign universities to participate in the INTERNATIONAL STUDENT SCHOLARSHIP CONTEST.

Students interested in participating must complete the online Application Form,attaching 200-300 words abstract of their thesis project, in English or Spanish and in Word format, no later than 10 weeks before the start of the conference (September 23). The work submitted must be related to the topics of the chosen conference.

The Editorial Committeewill choose the 15 best abstracts, which will be presented in the Poster Sessions of the Conference.

Requirements

• Applicants must certify their student status and be recommended by an academic authority of the university where they are studying.
• Applicants must be in the last year of an undergraduate program, or be in a graduate program. Students who are pursuing studies with funding from a company where they work and receive their employment income will not be considered.
• If the abstract is selected, the student must submit their poster in PDF format, in English, no later than two weeks before the start of the conference. This poster will be printed and assembled by the conference organizers.
• The abstract and poster must be prepared in accordance to the instructions specified on the conference website.
• Once in the conference, the selected student should be next to their poster during Poster Sessions to explain their project and answer questions, which may be in English or Spanish.

Benefits of the Scholarship

• Free registration to the conference, with all the benefits of a regular registration.
• Accommodation for four nights in a doble room, shared with another student, at the conference hotel. Applicable if required by students with no other accommodation alternative in Santiago.
• Participation certificate, digital record of an individual photo with their poster and a group photo with the president of the conference.
• In justified cases, economic contribution to cover travel expenses (economic class). This benefit only applies to students from universities outside Santiago or abroad. This contribution will be given during the conference and only for expenses that can be accredited with a voucher, up to a maximum of USD 600.
• Only one student per abstract may be granted this scholarship.
