With the objective of collaborating with the promotion of research carried out by last year's grad students, and strengthening the professional development of them, Gecamin has decided to finance scholarships to be used by students whose area of Research is related to the conference and may be presented in a Poster format during Procemin-geomet 2026.
Application for Scholarships for National and International Students
Scholarship benefits:
1. Full complimentary registration to attend Procemin-Geomet 2026, with access to all technical and social activities.
2. For students from universities located outside Santiago (other regions of Chile or abroad), four nights of accommodation will be provided in a double room shared with another student at the official conference hotel.
3. Participation Diploma, printed poster (to take at the end of the event), and official photographs: one individual photo next to the poster and one group photo with the Conference Chair.
4. Financial support for travel expenses (economy class) for students from other regions or abroad , upon request and submission of valid receipts, up to a maximum of USD 600. Reimbursements will be provided during the conference.
5. Only one beneficiary per selected poster will be considered.

The requirements to access the scholarship are to:
Provide proof of student status and submit a written recommendation from an academic authority of the university where the applicant is enrolled.
Be in the final year of an undergraduate program or currently enrolled in a postgraduate program. Students conducting studies funded by their employer and maintaining a work income will not be considered.
Complete the Online Application Form, attaching the following
documents:
a) Thesis project abstract (in English, between 200
and 300 words, Word format, using the Abstract Template.
b) Proof of student status.
C) Recommendation letter from an academic authority.
All documents must be submitted two
months before the start of the conference.
If the abstract is accepted, the applicant will be asked to submit the work in poster format (PDF), following the instructions provided in the Poster Preparation Guide and Poster Demo available on the website.
Selected students must be present beside their poster during the Poster Sessions to explain their project and answer questions.
