Abstracts should be between 200 and 300 words and written in English. For Geomin, abstracts can address themes such as exploration and evaluation of prospects; remote sensing and GIS; instrumentation and software development; modelling and geostatistics; geotechnics and geomechanics; and the integration of management in geology, mining, and plants, among others.
Abstracts submitted to Mineplanning can refer to themes such as estimation and reporting on mineral resources and reserves; market conditions and the financing of mining projects; short and long term mine planning strategies; the transition from open pit to underground mining; and the development of tools for mine planning, among others.
Geomin and Mineplanning will jointly take place from 24-26 July 2013 at the Sheraton Hotel in Santiago as a way to promote the integration of these two areas.
