Last year 260 participants attended courses put on by the leading company in mining conference organization. Of the participants, 50% came from the most important companies in the sector.
Gecamin is well into the process of receiving and solidifying course proposals for 2013. Last year the company successfully closed the course cycle with the participation of 260 people in a total of 12 courses that covered different specialized areas in the mining industry.
Looking at the overall statistics from 2012, more than half of the course participants pertain to important national and international mining companies. The figures also highlight the 33 instructors’ high level of expertise brought to the classroom.
Amongst the instructors were the award-winning Eduardo Magri, academic, project engineer and mining and engineering consultant; Antoni Magri, academic and consultant in sampling, quality control, and geost atistics applied to the environment and the mining industry; and Carlos Avedaño, General Manager at Terral Chile, who worked on various heap leaching and electrometallurgical projects as well as participated in plant design and construction while simultaneously developing an extensive background as a researcher.
Currently, Gecamin, the leading company in mining conference organization, is in the stage of calling all instructors interested in dictating a course in geology and mining, mineral processing, hydrometallurgy, sustainability and environment, water and energy, maintenance and automation.
