Notes
Due to technical program restrictions, each author may present a maximum of two works in oral format (additional works may be presented as posters), and each company may present a maximum of three oral presentations (additional poster presentations are also allowed).
Due to data confidentiality concerns, authors from mining companies may choose to submit only an abstract, written in English, of 300 to 600 words, without the need to present the full article.

Review
Process
All submissions received by
Planning for Closure 2026 are subject to all stages of the review process in order to be approved for publication in the proceedings and included in the technical program.
Stage 1: Article Selection
All submissions received for Planning for Closure 2026 will go through the following review stages. Only submissions that complete this process will be approved for publication in the digital proceedings and included in the technical program.
Stage 2: Final Article Approval
Final articles will be reviewed by the Editorial Committee to ensure that all modifications have been made. At this stage, articles will be confirmed for oral or poster presentation. Final articles approved for publication will be published in the Planning for Closure 2026 proceedings. At this stage authors must register to Planning for Closure 2026 to confirm their participation.
Stage 3: Presentation Selection
All authors of final articles approved for oral presentation will be asked to send the PowerPoint presentation that they will exhibit in their 20-minute talk.
Stage 4: Author Registration
Only articles from registered authors will be published and included in the technical program of the congress.
At least one (1) author per work must register and pay the registration fee before April 18, 2026. Works whose authors have not registered by the deadline will be removed from the program, and their article will not be included in the congress proceedings.
