Committee of Maplemin 2016 holds meeting in Lima

The Committee of Maplemin 2016 held its first extended meeting in the Marriott Hotel.

The Committee of Maplemin 2016, the 3rd International Seminar on Mining Plant and Equipment Maintenance, held its first extended meeting on December 3, 2015, in the Marriott Hotel in Lima, Peru.

The meeting included the participation of Manuel Valverde, President of Maplemin 2016 and Maintenance Manager in Minera Las Bambas-MMG; Benjamín Barriga, Professor at the Pontificia Universidad Católica, Peru; Carlos Bazán, General Manager in Rockwell Automation; Johnny Aliaga, Senior Consultant and Professor at the Universidad Nacional de Ingeniería, Peru; Patrick Pastor, Country Manager in NSK; Edmundo Mares, Regional Senior Manager of Energy and Maintenance in Barrick South America;and Alberto Coronado, Professor at the Universidad Nacional de Ingeniería, Peru, among others.

Attendees exchanged information and discussed several ideas in order to improve the seminar under the slogan "managing assets and maintenance to optimize the business continuity". The seminar will focus on the development of new technologies to improve equipment maintenance practices in mining operations and in mining plats, in addition to the impact on the productivity.

To participate in Maplemin 2016 as a presenting author, the submission of abstract will be available until January 15, 2016.
