Procemin 2015 will address issues such as energy efficiency and the management of concentration plants

The 11th International Mineral Processing Conference will create opportunities to encourage a more sustainable development in mining industry operations such as modeling, simulation and process design.

The 11th International Mineral Processing Conference, Procemin 2015, which will be held from October 21- 23 at Sheraton Hotel, will feature more than 60 presentations from 17 countries.

The event seeks to deepen the understanding of energy efficiency in mineral processing; optimization of water resources; management and operation of concentration plants; theory and practical applications of flotation; tailings management; and safety in processing plants.

The technical program includes two plenary presentations delivered by representatives of Aminpro, Peru ; Minera Los Pelambres, Antofagasta Minerals; Minera Doña Ines de Collahuasi; and Codelco División Andina.

The Executive Committee will be chaired by Dalibor Dragicevic, Vice-President Processes, Minera Doña Inés de Collahuasi, Chile and Peter Amelunxen, Director of Metallurgy Aminpro, will be Co-Chair.

The seminar is organized by the Department of Metallurgical Engineering of the Universidad de Concepción, The Sustainable Minerals Institute of the University of Queensland in Australia and Gecamin 

The latest version of Procemin, organized in 2013, brought together more than 350 participants from 19 countries and featured 65 technical presentations.
