Centro Vincular of the PUCV now confirmed as an Institutional Partner for Srmining 2015

The Center, directed by Dante Pesce, is the first Chilean University center specialized in the development and implementation of Social Responsibility management tools.

The 3rd International Conference on Social Responsibility in Mining, Srmining 2015, has a new confirmed institutional partner: The Centro Vincular of the Pontifical Catholic University of Valparaíso (PUCV).

The Center, directed by Dante Pesce, is acknowledged for being the first Chilean university center specialized in the development and implementation of Social Responsibility management tools, with dedication to applied research, consultancy and transfer technology, skill training, and management of public policies to promote sustainability. 

Additional partners will include Sonami, Consejo Minero, Sernageomin, the Institute of Mining Engineers of Perú (IIMP), and the Brazilian Institute of Mining (IBRAM).

This year, the conference will be chaired by the Corporate Affairs and Sustainability Vice President of Antofagasta Minerals, Francisco Veloso; and Deanna Kemp, Deputy Director of the Centre for Social Responsibility in Mining belonging to the Sustainable Minerals Institute (University of Queensland, Australia), acting as co-chair. 

Srmining 2015 -which is organized by the Sustainable Minerals Institute and Gecamin- will take place from November 4 - 6 at the Enjoy Hotel in Antofagasta, Chile. The call for papers is open until April 27 for those interested in participating as authors, and early bird registration is until September 4.
