Enviromine Seminar to be held in Peru for the first time

The event will cover environmental issues related to mining and will take place between December 2nd - 4th in Lima, Peru.

After being held in Santiago, Chile, for the last 3 years, the 4th International Seminar on Environmental Issues in Mining – Enviromine 2015-, moves for first time to Lima, Peru, to take place between December 2nd- 4th.

Enviromine provides an opportunity to learn about innovations and developments, enabling the mining industry to operate in a sustainable manner while maintaining economic viability. Relevant themes such as mining waste and hazardous management, water management and effluent treatment, prediction and mitigation of environmental impact, among others, will be predominate in this seminar that supports clean mining from design to closure.

David Mulligan, Director of Centre for Mined Land Rehabilitation (SMI) that belongs to the University of Queensland, Australia, will be part of the Organizing Committee. As in Enviromine’s past editions, Mulligan will Co-Chair the event.

The first call to submit abstracts is open until April 2nd for those people interested in participating as authors, and early bird registration is until October 2nd.
