After a successful first edition, the International Seminar on Mining Plant and Equipment Maintenance -Maplemin 2015- is back in Peru during the first week in July for its second version. In this occasion, the topics addressed will be related to the development of emerging technologies and best practices in asset management that are applied in mine and plant equipment maintenance.
This year, the seminar will take place from July 1-3 at the at the Westin Hotel in Lima, and will be chaired by Eduardo Ku, Plant Maintenance Manager, Toromocho Project Chinalco, Peru; and Manuel Valverde, Maintenance Manager Minera Las Bambas, MMG, Peru, acting as co-chair.
The Organizing Committee met in February (see photo) in Lima to discuss the seminar´s details. The Organizing Committee is currently receiving abstracts from people interested in participating as authors, and early bird registration is until May 4th.
Maplemin 2015 is organized by the National University of Engineering (UNI), Peru; the Pontifical Catholic University of Peru (PUCP); and the company Gecamin.
