Don't miss the opportunity to share experiences and studies in Tailings 2025 as a presenting author.

Submit an 3 to 6 pages article of your work, in Word format and in English, by April 11, 2025, using the file transfer site available for this purpose. Click on the “Submit Article HERE” button above.

Articles should include an abstract, introduction, methodology, analysis and discussion of results, conclusions and references, as well as the full contact details of the authors. All articles must be submitted in strict accordance with the "Article Guide". To review the guide, click on the button located at the top of the page.

 

Important note for mining company authors: Due to data confidentiality issues, mining authors may opt to submit only an abstract, written in English, of 200 to 300 words, without having to submit the full article. For more information, contact us at tailings@gecamin.com.

 

The “Article Template” button above contains the Word template with predetermined formatting to prepare your article. 

Should the article be approved, the author will be requested to send a final version of their article considering the comments made by the reviewers. For more information regarding the review process, see the “Review Process” below.

 

Note: Due Technical Program restrictions, an author is allow to present a maximum of 2 works in oral presentation (additional works can be submitted  for Poster presentation). Review Process

Stage 1: Article Selection

Articles must be written in accordance with the standards established for the conference. Articles which fully comply with the requirements will be peer-reviewed. Once articles are reviewed, comments will be sent to authors and a final version of the work will be requested. The final article should include the comments and suggestions made by the Committee.

Stage 2: Final Article Selection

Final articles will be reviewed by the Technical Committee to ensure that all modifications have been made. At this stage, articles will be confirmed for oral or poster presentation. Final articles approved for publication will be published in the Tailings 2025 proceedings. At this stage authors must register to the congress to confirm their participation..

Stage 3: Presentation Selection

All authors of final articles approved for oral presentation will be asked to send the PowerPoint presentation that they will exhibit in their 20-minute talk.

Author Registration Deadline: July 3, 2025

The published proceedings will only contain abstracts from authors attending the conference.

To confirm publication of an abstract, as well as inclusion in the technical program of the congress, it is essential that at least one (1) author per article is registered and has paid by July 3, 2025. Abstracts of authors who have not registered by the deadline will be automatically withdrawn from the proceedings and the program.
